What you can do in Nao
- Notes
- Write journal entries and notes with headings, lists, tables, code blocks and images. Organise them in folders.
- Tasks
- Keep task lists with due dates and attachments, and tick things off from your Mac or your phone.
- Boards
- Lay ideas out on a free-form canvas with text, images and shapes.
- Sync and sharing
- Your content syncs between your own devices. You can share a note or a folder with another person, and stop sharing at any time.
- AI assistants
- On a Mac, let Claude, Codex or Gemini read and edit your Nao: one switch in Settings, one line to paste. What an assistant reads goes to its maker; you can turn it off any time.
Your account
You sign in to Nao with Apple or with Google. Nao never sees or stores a password.
When you sign in with Google, Nao receives your name, your email address and your profile picture, and nothing else. It uses them only to create your Nao account, show you which account you are signed in to, and let people share notes with you by email address. Nao does not read your Gmail, Drive, Calendar or contacts, and does not sell or pass your Google data to anyone.
You can delete your account, and everything stored with it, from Settings inside the app.
Privacy
Your writing is yours. Nao does not sell your personal data or use your content for advertising, and this site sets no cookies and runs no trackers. The full details of what is stored, where, and for how long are in the privacy policy.
